An Unforgettable Rebrand
Here at mxb we’re proud to announce the unveiling of the rebrand, new strategic positioning and signage for client, The Forge Shopping Centre, Glasgow.
Built in 1988 on the site of the former Parkhead Forge iron and steel works, the Forge Shopping Centre combines this rich tradition with a modern, community focussed retail destination. And it was this setting which inspired the brand identity design, which resonates the industrial heritage of The Forge Shopping Centre by utilising the motif of the spark, whilst the typography and colours are warm and contemporary.
Integral to the success of every great brand is a dynamic brand positioning strategy. In the case of the Forge, this was distilled into a simply dynamic call to action – ‘Make it Unforgettable. #MakeItForge’.
mxb Head of Creative Strategy Barry McCabe said;
“At mxb we believe in the power of a brand’s story to make a real emotional connection with shoppers. For The Forge, the centre’s history as a place where memories have been made across generations was a compelling narrative to draw upon. By inviting shoppers to ‘Make it Unforgettable’ we’re reminding them of times shared, and engaging them with all the possibilities such a diverse retail destination can bring. And by highlighting the word ‘Forge’ within ‘Unforgettable’ we’re literally placing The Forge at the centre of memorable shopper experiences”
An important stage in any shopper journey is the second moment of truth, when a shopper interacts with a brand first hand. And we had the opportunity to help Forge extend their branding on mall with some stylishly modern signage, which will be rolling out across June. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates on our LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram.
